Joshua “J-Pragmatic” Davis, an 8 year entertainment veteran, hails from the southeast coast’s historical city of Charleston, SC. His entertainment experience includes acting, modeling, master of ceremony, and radio DJ. He is a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi., Fraternity Inc., as well as numerous national DJ coalitions. J-Prag’s colligate career began at Spartanburg Methodist College and was completed at Winthrop University in 2004 where he graduated with an Associates Arts Degree and Bachelors of Arts Degree in graphic Design and Mass Communication.
In 2003, while attending Winthrop University J-Prag started nurturing his on-air career as he earned an internship working with the Music Director of WPEG Power 98 fm, focusing on assisting with music and traffic programming of the station for a year. During his internship, he also became the creator and two year recipient of Show of The Year Award for his WINR 98.3 fm College Radio Program “Tha Backyard Brotha’s & Tha Bandwagon”. He had succeeded in organizing an all-star cast of 5 which included a co-host, news anchor, promotions staff, and an intern. This has only furthered his love and ambition for radio programming.
After graduating from college in 2004, J-Prag landed his first radio position doing part time promotions for 96.1 WIBT-fm. Shortly after being hired under the Promotions Department, he was offered an on-air position. With his energy, dedication, and team player attitude, he was the first employee in company history to ever be offered an on-air position after only a few months of working in Promotions Department. In early 2006, J-Prag returned to WPEG Power 98 fm, where he was hired as a Promotional Assistant and has significantly contributed to Power 98’s positive buzz in the community for over three years. Today, J-Prag is the newest addition to the Power 98 fm on-air staff. With his original, creative, and over the top antics, J-Pragmatic promises to entertain you.
