LOWDOWN FOR WEDNESDAY JANUARY 7TH

Could Soulja Boy have known the gunmen who held him at gunpoint over the holiday? There’s a rumor gone wild that suggests Soulja knew the men because they were calling him a nickname that usually only his family calls him. And since the robbery, the word is Soulja Boy has refused to cooperate with police and that he’s reportedly moved. Still no word on just what was taken during the robbery. Hmmm?

Here’s another crazy rumor. No confirmation yet, but I hear there’s a rapper who admits he had an orgy when he was only 12 years old. Coolio has supposedly gone on record to say it was him, a 12 yr old Indonesian girl and another 12 or 13 yr old girl who got busy. Are you just trying to up the ratings for your show?

More trouble for T.I.—as if he needed anymore. The word is he’s getting sued for allegedly not paying the lawyers who worked on his custody case last fall. Tip reportedly owes them about $8,000.  Pay’em Tip. You know they saved you big money! Only a $1000 more a month in child support.

Mary J. Blige is getting sued, too. Two songwriters from Utah say Mary stole lyrics from them to use in her song “Take Me As I Am.” The songwriters want profits and all copies of the song seized.

Rihanna is taking her “Good Girl Gone Bad” act to Malaysia next month and she promises not be too bad. It’s a law in Malaysia that says women have to be covered from their shoulders down to their knees, so Rihanna will have to put away her usual skimpy outfits when she performs or get hit with a fine.

Hip-hop will be in full effect when the Presidential inauguration pops off in a few weeks. T.I., Young Jeezy and LL Cool J will be honored when Russell Simmons has his Hip-Hop Inaugural Ball in DC January 19th. And Jay-Z is set to perform the same night with his full band
at the Warner Theatre. Tickets for the show go on sale this Friday at 10am.

Ok, Lil’ Wayne you can’t do it all now.  He was on ESPN’s “1st and 10” yesterday morning talking sports of course.

Weezy predicted that the Baltimore Ravens and Philadelphia Eagles will face off in the Super Bowl and the Ravens will win!

A new venture for Snoop Dogg. He’s teamed up with Skullcandy audio company to release his own line of headphones.

Check out the Lowdown with JD each weekday morning at 7:10 on No Limit Larry and the Morning Maddhouse then again at 1:10pm, 3:10pm and 8:10pm on WPEG-FM. You can also check out the Lowdown at www.power98fm.com.
