Beyonce was the BIG winner last night at the BET Awards in Los Angeles. B took Best Female R&B Artist and Video of the Year for “Single Ladies” home!! Ne-Yo won Best Male R&B Artist and Lil Wayne took the trophy for Best Rap Artist. Show host Jamie Foxx also took home an award for Best New Collaboration for “Blame It” with T-Pain. The show was dedicated to the fallen icon Michael Jackson.
Michael Jackson’s personal physician who was by the pop stars side at the time of his death was questioned by L.A. police Saturday night. Doctor Conrad Murray had a three hour interview where he answered all and every questions asked by L.A police. Investigators say the doctor is in no way a suspect and remains a witness to this tragedy. Doctor Conrad says that Michael had a faint pulse when Murray found the singer in bed.
I hear Kelis tried to get her court date moved up because she’s close to giving birth. Kelis is taking Nas to court for a whole bunch of money and the hearing is scheduled for July 21st. So Kelis sent her lawyer to court late last week to try and get the hearing moved up.
Speaking of pulling a fast one. Rihanna’s father is mad about Chris Brown’s light sentence. Ronald Fenty is angry at the L.A judge who sentenced Chris to five years probation after he pleaded guilty to assaulting Ri Ri!
Usher’s upcoming album “Monster” will include a track called “Filing Papers”. I hear it was inspired by his divorce from Tameka Foster. Sean Garret wrote the song and said that he didn’t have any idea what Usher was going through. Lawd Usher you should leave that song off!!!
#1 movie in the box office over the weekend was Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen bringing in 112 million and 201.2 million since Wednesday. #2 movie was The Proposal bringing in 18.5 million
