Uh-oh, R. Kelly caught up in another scandal—this one in Africa. TMZ.com says an unidentified woman is accusing R of helping her con more than 50 people out of millions of dollars. The woman would supposedly trick people into investing in a R Kelly concert in Africa that would never happen. She would then deposit the money into R’s account. The woman’s facing more than 60 counts of fraud and authorities want to question R.
And the word on the street is Mary J.’s husband, Kendu is a bad dad! At least according to his daughter Brianna from his first marriage. You do know Kendu was married when he first met Mary. Anyway, Brianna tweeted on Father’s Day “Somebody find my father so I can tell him Happy Donor’s Day.” Oooooo.
Speaking of daddy’s…Jay-Z and his ‘love child’ are back in the news. A British newspaper is apparently just catching up with the rest of the world and has featured the story about Jay keeping his 7-yr-old son and his mom in hiding. Word is he’s put them both up in a $2.5 million crib in Trinidad and that Beyonce has accepted it, even vacationing with Jay and his son in the south of France.
No, say it ain’t so—not Mathew and Tina Knowles splitting up??!! Word on the street is Beyonce’s mama and daddy are not only separated, but have been separated for the last year now. Apparently, Tina says she’s had enough of Mathew’s narrow-mindedness, lies and his controlling ways, but apparently not enough to divorce him.
Big up to Beyonce—Forbes Magazine says she’s the #3 top-earning musician, raking in $82 million dollars over the last year. Daddy Mathew is doing something right.
Meanwhile, former Destiny’s Child member LaTavia Roberson is trying to get her paper right and breathe new life in to her career. I hear she’s putting out a book about her life. Ok.
Lil’ Wayne was in court in Arizona yesterday on his drug and weapons charges. His attorney told the judge he has questions like how were the drug sniffing dogs trained, where are Weezy’s arrest records and he wants to see video footage of officers searching Weezy’s tour bus. They’re back in court in August.
Dang, Jill Scott! She and her fiancé just had a baby boy and she’s a single mom already. Jill says she’s called off the engagement to musician Lil’ Roberts and that the two are no longer a couple. She says they’ll be co-parent and be friends. The word I hear is Roberts ran off to be with an old girlfriend.
Meanwhile, I hear The Dream and Christina Milian are planning a secret wedding this Friday.
And its ‘T-Day’ as in latest Transformers sequel “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” is in theatres today.
