JANINE DAVIS is an award-winning 20-year veteran of the professional broadcasting industry and currently serves as Producer/Co Host of Charlotte’s #1 urban radio morning show NO LIMIT LARRY AND THE MORNING MADDHOUSE heard each weekday morning on WPEG-FM. Janine was recently recognized as WSOC-TV’s “Nine Who Care Award” and selected as “Who’s Who In Black Charlotte” for her work in the community.
Janine started her career as an assistant editor and morning show producer WGHP-TV in High Point, NC. She branched off into the radio arena as News & Public Affairs Director at WJMH-FM/102 JAMZ in Greensboro, NC. She continued her radio stint as an afternoon anchor and reporter for WRAL-FM in Raleigh, NC where she received numerous awards including BEST NEWS FEATURE and BEST NEWS SERIES.
Janine eventually made her way to the Queen City, where she hosted the nationally syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show on WBAV-FM (Charlotte, NC). Her very slick, unique local presentation of the show caught the attention of Tom Joyner and ABC Radio Networks who hired Janine as a consultant. She traveled across the country training producers of The Tom Joyner Morning Show, before landing the position of Producer/Co Host of THE BREAKFAST BROTHAS MORNING SHOW on WPEG-FM.

Active in the community, Janine started Girl Talk Foundation, Inc. in 2003 after visiting several middle and high schools, where girls talked candidly with her about their issues. But, it was Janine’s 10-yr old niece who pushed her to start Girl Talk Foundation, Inc. after telling her aunt she wanted to “grow up and become a dancer in a rap video.” Fearing her niece would succumb to further peer pressure, Janine organized an all-girls rap session later that year to focus on the needs of teen girls—nearly 200 girls attended. Janine went on to launch Girl Talk Foundation, Inc. focused on building self-esteem in young girls. To date, the program has served nearly 3500 girls.
