Innovative, musically conscience and creative describes the attributes of this young passionate musician. Hailing from Cincinnati Ohio “J. MUzik” born Chris Ingram began showing his love for music like most children as an infant but unlike most children his age J. MUzik began mastering the drums at age 4. Once his mother realized her son was serious about music, Christy Ingram enrolled him into Schiel Performing Arts Elementary were he broadened his musical knowledge by receiving training in the art of stringed instruments specializing in violin, viola and cello. J. MUzik was introduced to his true love when his grandparents (now deceased) handed him a keyboard for his 10th birthday. Instead of hitting the books J. MUzik was hitting the keys refusing to sleep for days until he and his keyboard could make melodies that would excite the senses and touch the emotions of those who listened.
While attending Withrow High he developed a strong musical relation with marching band director and internationally known brass genius Mike D. Wade, who helped cultivate J. MUzik’s musical talent and sharpen his skills. Tragedy struck J. MUzik and his family on the day of his graduation as he watched his father being arrested on prime time news for the robbery of 3 federal banks to support an addiction to cocaine. At that point J. MUzik made a decision to pour his pain and emotion into his music to share with the world causing him to add writing to his repertoire’ of musical abilities and talent. Now even more dedicated and focused J. MUzik dug deeper into his studies of instruments such as French Horns, trumpet, bass, lead guitar, and Latin percussion to develop tracks that would later be sold under his production company MUzik Era Productions.
Influenced by musical greats such as Maynard Ferguson, Robin Thicke and John Champion, J.MUzik began crafting his own sultry sound to woo women of all ages. Just finishing his latest independent project “The Mind of a Musician” backed with catchy lyrics, smooth vocals over high impact drum patterns entwined with hip hop, classical and jazz, J. MUzik is sure to sit among the greats in music history and be felt in the hearts of millions. We invite you to experience the Future of R&B… J. MUzik
