Freedom—finally for DMX!! He was sentenced to 18 months probation yesterday over the incident in February in which he threw a tray of food at a corrections officer. X also got a 79-day jail sentence, but received credit for the 79 days he spent in jail earlier.
DJ Jazzy Jeff is screaming racism after a performance in Kansas City, Missouri over the weekend. Jazz says he was told if he didn’t change the type of music he was playing, he would be shut down and that his hype man would have to leave the stage because of gestures he was making. Venue officials say none of that is true—the issue was Jazzy’s music was too loud and damaged their system.
T-Pain is shutting down all the talk about the chain he wears that says “Big Ass Chain.” Have you seen it? It’s a 197-karat, 10lb necklace. Anyway, T-Pain says for all those who ask how he can spend $410,000 on a necklace, T-Pain says he’s no fool. His oldest child whose 5 already has $4 million in her own account, so before he buys for himself, he makes sure his fam is good. T-Pain says don’t judge me from what I buy, but from what I do.
Speaking of T-Pain, he made a surprise visit on stage at New York’s Summer Jam last Sunday, hopping on stage with Jay-Z.

Uh-oh Michael Jackson is acting like a ‘diva’. I hear when he does his concerts in London, he wants promoters to build him a replica of the Neverland ranch. Michael says he wants to relive the days of being at his amusement park. Mike insists that a bowling alley be created, too.
The party’s gonna be on and poppin for former South African President Nelson Mandela when he turns 91 next month. Already slated to perform, Alicia Keys, Stevie Wonder, Wyclef Jean, Queen Latifah, and Aretha Franklin. Mandela’s party is July 18th in New York.
