Michael Jackson fans will find out today via e-mail if they were the chosen ones to attend the King of Pop’s memorial service. About 1.6 million people registered online over the weekend to get one of the tickets. I hear in the first hour after the tickets details were announced, the website got more than 500 million hits.
And anybody thinking they can bootleg the tickets to go to Michael Jackson’s memorial service, forget about it. Organizers designed a wristband that matches coding on the tickets and attendees will be scanned. The memorial service is tomorrow morning at 10 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
I hear Michael Jackson’s brothers may actually reunite and perform in their brothers place at the O2 Arena in London. The word is they’ve been studying footage of Michael’s rehearsals. And I hear Janet and LaToya may take the stage, too. The show is tentatively set for July 13th. I’ll keep you posted.
And of course with talk of Michael Jackson, there are still those crazy rumors going around about the King of Pop. The latest on how MJ handled his kids. For example, he wouldn’t allow his kids to stare at themselves in the mirror too long and that he had a team of six nannies and six nurses for one of his kids and they would rotate shifts so that the baby had two nannies and two nurses with him at all times. The nannies had to check the air quality of his room once an hour and any utensils were boiled before he ate and thrown away afterwards. Wow!
What?? The Game is saying he’s sorry for beefing with 50 Cent?? He told MTV recently he wants to apologize to 50 as a man and admits that the beef started when he was young and dumb. By the way, 50 just dropped another mixtape on the internet. This one is called “Forever King.”
Guess who else is apologizing? BET executives and Drake both say they’re sorry about he performance at the BET Awards by Young Money and the little girls dancing in the background during their set. They both admit it should not have happened.
Meanwhile, Jay-Z is finally speaking up about Chris Brown beating up Rihanna.
Rihanna is could be in some trouble for tattooing her friends at a tattoo parlor in New York last week. Word is she was hanging out with friends who work at a tattoo parlor and she sat down to tattoo some body art onto them. The health department says that’s a no-no that what Rihanna did may have been illegal because only licensed tattoo artists can ink other people.
The #1 movies at the box office over the July 4th holiday were “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” and “Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs” each raked in $42.5 million dollars.
