Chris Brown expected to get his sentence yesterday, but it didn’t happen. Judge Patricia postponed it, saying says she wants to make sure Chris does some kind of physical labor like cleaning up a highway as part of his punishment for beating up Rihanna. His sentencing has been rescheduled for August 27th. And Chris’ interview on “Larry King Live” last night was canceled. I’ll keep you posted on a new date.
Ok, it’s been almost a month and the King of Pop’s body still isn’t in the ground yet! But I do hear that the Jackson family just signed papers yesterday to allow Michael to be laid to rest at Forest Lawn cemetery in Hollywood Hills.
Meanwhile, Michael’s parents have hired a private eye to look into his death and business dealings. Both Joe and Katherine think there was something fishy about how Michael died and his deal with concert promoter AEG.
Got the for real, for real on why Paula Abdul is leaving “American Idol.” She tweeted the other day she’s outta there, but I hear now she wanted more money—like a 30% raise. TMZ says Paula was only making $2-$3 million a year. So I’m sure after she heard host Ryan Seacrest signed a 3-year $45 million dollar deal, she was ticked. Yeah, I feel ya girl.
Guess what 50 Cent gave Soulja Boy for his birthday?? How about a tour bus with a built-in studio! Fif says he wants to help the Soulja Boy finish his next album, “The DaAndre Way,” while he’s on the Young Money tour. The in-bus studio will allow Soulja Boy to work on his music any time of the day or night without booking studio time. How sweet!
Speaking of the Young Money Tour, Drake who’s recovering from a bum knee did show up on the tour in his hometown of Toronto. He spent most of his time leaning or sitting on a stool, but he did perform.
I hear Ciara is the latest to cut it all off. Well, not really. She’s now sporting a short wig. Ciara says she wanted something different for the summer.
