Wait a minute—I hear for the first time in 10 years, Oprah is breaking her NO rappers on my show rule. The word is Oprah plans to feature Jay-Z on her show next month. As part of the show, Jigga will take Oprah to the Brooklyn Housing Projects where he grew up. He’ll talk about how he made his fortune and what he’s doing to help young people get out of poverty. Now WHY did Oprah break her rule?? The word I heard was in order for Oprah to get an exclusive interview with Beyonce last spring, Oprah had to promise to have Jigga on her show when his new album drops. Now that’s what I call a ‘Power Couple.’
Meanwhile, in Los Angeles… Joe Budden is nursing a black eye!! Budden says Raekwon of Wu-Tang Clan and his posse—like 8 deep—stormed backstage at a concert in LA over the weekend and Joe was sucker punched.Budden was quick to point out it wasn’t Raekwon who punched him. He says it was like an interview gone wrong. No word of any charges filed.
Michael Jackson update—a long time friend of his is coming to say HE’s the father to one of Michael’s kids. Mark Lester says 11 yr old Paris is HIS child and he’s willing to take a paternity test to prove it.
