Lowdown for Monday September 28, 2009

Brooklyn emcee Fabolous is recovering at home today after being rushed to the hospital over the weekend. Apparently he got ‘SWD’--sick while driving. Fab says he started feeling sick and felt like he was going to pass out so he pulled over and called for an ambulance. Fab thinks he was poisoned.

Soulja Boy is trying to tell’em he’s NOT engaged! Remember, last week I told you there had been talk that he was engaged to this model and video star named Rosa Acosta. Well, Acosta’s peeps say that she is in NO WAY engaged to Soulja Boy and that the two have been friends for a while. As for the ring on her finger—her mom gave it to her 3 or 4 years ago.

Well, Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom ARE married—after 3 weeks of dating!! The two tied the knot as planned yesterday. I hear she wore a Vera Wang dress along with her 9-carat ring. I hear the publications are already offering mega dollars for exclusive pictures of the wedding day. OK! Magazine beat them out by offering $300,000 to show the pictures.

Meanwhile, some baby mama drama for Rick Ross. You know I told you last week a group of female thieves recently robbed him of $60,000 worth jewelry at his hotel, well now a Miami judge has ordered that he pay temporary child support and health coverage for his son. His son’s mama, Tia Kemp has been hatin’ on Rick on twitter, calling him lame and not man enough to take care of his kids.

I hear Kanye West is headed to rehab. According to Star magazine, he plans to check himself into rehab because of his excessive drinking. Word is Ye’s been drinking heavy since his mom died and that it’s gotten worse. The word is he’s supposed to get help after he finishes touring with Lady Gaga.

More Michael Jackson mania. Tickets to early screenings of his documentary “This Is It” sold out in less than two hours yesterday morning in LA. All 3,000 tickets SOLD OUT!!! The documentary opens nationwide October 28th.

He did it!! Diddy has ended his 5-year relationship with Warner Music Group. No word on yet on just where he’ll go, but there are reports he’ll release his next project with Interscope Records.

The #1 movie at the box office over the weekend was for the 2nd weekend in a row—the animated flick “Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs” raking in $24 million. The sci-fi “Surrogates” came in #2 with $15 million.
