Baby mama drama for Akon. One of his baby’s mamas says she can’t serve him with child support papers because she can’t find him. So what did she do? She and her attorney took out an ad in yesterday’s LA Times to serve Akon in public view. Akon says she’s tripping. He says I’m a celebrity for Pete’s sake. My schedule is on the internet. Akon thinks it’s her attorney who’s behind it all.
It seems Kelis isn’t the only one who wants a piece of Nas. The feds say Nas owes the IRS more than $2.5 million dollars in unpaid taxes on income he earned in ’06 & ’07. Give it up!
Word is T-Pain’s been acting like a diva lately. I heard he was over in Africa at a festival where he demanded that everybody get out of the changing area backstage because he didn’t want to share space with NOBODY! This one local artist says he wasn’t even allowed to stand next to the stage when T-Pain was performing. Who got his dreds in a wad?
Speaking of T-Pain, he actually buried his auto-tune with a funeral and everything. He did a listening event with DJ Khaled and played Jay-Z’s “Death of Auto-Tune” out of a hearse, then pulled out a coffin. Inside was a skeleton dressed like T-Pain--with jeans, a white tee, wearing the ‘BIG A** CHAIN’ and his top hat.
Wait a minute? Did I just see some pictures of Soulja Boy in Jamaica with Trina? She was sitting on the back of the jet ski together. I’ll have the picture on the Maddhouse blog.
Speaking of duos…50 Cent is trying to hook up with ‘I-used-to-be-with-Destiny’s-Child-now-I-do-reality-TV’ Kelly Rowland. I hear Fif has chosen her to play his love interest in his new video for his track “Baby By Me.” (She ain’t doing nothing else) The track will be on his CD when it drops next month.
It looks like Chris Brown isn’t wasting too much time getting back on the grind again. He was on twitter over the weekend to say he has two new videos on the way and he’s hitting the road, too. He’s doing about 19 cities. No Charlotte date yet, but Chris will be in Atlanta December 2nd.
Meanwhile, his ex-boo Rihanna has new music out today. I hear she’s supposed to unveil the first single from her upcoming album today at 11:23am and that her new album will drop November 23rd.
