LOWDOWN FOR FRIDAY OCTOBER 23, 2009

All of Lil’ Weezy’s babies and baby mama’s will have to see him locked up. He’s going to jail. It’s part of his sentence after Weezy pleaded guilty yesterday to felony gun possession. That plea requires he be locked up for a year. He’ll also have to give up his passport. He’ll be formally sentenced in February. Weezy is still facing a drug and weapons trial in Arizona.

 

Speaking of jailed rappers, you know Lil’ Boosie is about to spend a year in prison, too. Fans have been telling him to keep his head up. What does Boosie have to say about that?

Did you know that TLC once carried guns? T-Boz was on Mo’Nique’s late night show on BET and she and Lisa and Chilli once held Clive Davis at gunpoint.

 

Uh-oh, do I hear another beef in the making involving 50 Cent? Fif is going after Jay-Z. An interviewer asked Jay-Z if Kanye would have interrupted the Video Music Awards if 50 Cent was on stage and Jigga said ‘ain’t nobody scared of 50 Cent’. But Fif said the interviewer made Jigga look like a punk. Fif says Jay just isn’t tough anymore. He says you can’t be a gangster from Marcy and be the good guy on Oprah. Then he called Jay-Z ‘Mrs. Knowles.’

 

A surprising update on the burglary of Courtney Kardashian’s home. You know I told you earlier this week somebody broke into her crib and stole about $80,000 worth of jewelry. They were only gone an 1 ½ so the po-po thinks it was likely someone who knew exactly where to find the jewelry—an inside job.

 

Congratulations to actress Paula Patton and hubby R&B singer Robin Thicke! The two are now pregnant with their first child. If you thought she was already pregnant last year—that was just a rumor.

 

Is Tyler Perry calling it quits? The playwright and filmmaker went on his website yesterday to say he’ll be taking the rest of the year off. Besides needing a break, he says his mom has been really sick and flying all over the country and trying to take care of her has been a challenge. And he’s still dealing with seeing his dad who used to beat his mom.

 

R Kelly has released a date for his 10^th studio album “Untitled.” It hits stores December 1^st. And Gucci Mane’s first major release “The State Vs. Radric Davis” comes out December 8^th.

 

New movies in theatres this weekend “Saw 6”, the animated flick “Astro Boy” and the historical drama “Amelia.”
